Gulf District Schools celebrated a significant moment on December 19th as Superintendent Jim Norton took the oath of office for his fifth term. The ceremony, held at the Gulf District Schools, was presided over by Circuit Judge Devin D. Collier. Superintendent Norton expressed his gratitude to the community for their continued trust and support, reaffirming his commitment to advancing educational opportunities and fostering success for every student in the district.
Joining Superintendent Norton in this milestone were newly elected School Board members Mrs. Equillar Gainer (District 4) and Mr. Matt Terry (District 3). Both bring unique perspectives and a shared dedication to ensuring Gulf District Schools continue to excel.
Mrs. Gainer, a lifelong advocate for education and community service, represents District 4. Her vision emphasizes collaboration, equity, and preparing students for a bright future.
Mr. Terry, representing District 3, brings years of experience in local leadership. He is committed to enhancing resources for students and teachers while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
